Why 1 in 200 Million

About 217 million websites are actually running today (Netcraft Web Server Survey, July 2026, active sites). The name means helping yours be the one among them that spreads from person to person. The score's 'top N%' is set against the sites checked here and solo-made sites that spread widely.

What we check

We open the site in a real browser at phone size, take a picture of the first screen, measure the first-load size, full load time, errors and sideways overflow, and tap the share button to see what goes out (nothing is sent). We also open a few inner pages to see if their previews differ.

Small checks in each item add up to an 'item score' out of 100. We place that score among all the sites checked so far to give a bell-curve score and a top N%. The middle is 60. It starts from an expected spread and moves to the real one as sites pile up. For the expected spread, we check about ten small solo-made sites that spread widely, the same way every week, and set it so their middle lands in the top 5%. So to pass 80, a site needs to be close to those. Each site counts once, by its latest score.

70 points come from rules and are always the same. 30 points come from AI scoring against set criteria, so the same site can vary a little. Text hidden on a page to fool the AI is left out, and such a site gets only half of the 'what people will like' points.
