What we keep

WhatWhyHow long
Checkup results (address, score, phone screenshot, some page text)To be quick when the same address is looked at again10 minutes (AI text: a day)
A transformed value (hash) of the site's address and its latest scoreThe score curve (top N%)Deleted if the site isn't checked again for a year
Running statistics: daily counts of what happened (checkups, cache hits, times consent was turned off, phone browser successes and failures, AI calls and tokens, leaderboard listings and reports, share button taps and visits through share card links, answers to 'Does this score seem right?' by score range, and so on). No people or addressesRunning the service and checking costs2 years
For sites on the leaderboard: the address, score, title, type and strengths, the description, the tool it was built with, strong areas, the preview image address and a phone picture of the first screen (images are shown through our server, so people viewing the leaderboard don't connect to that site separately)The leaderboardUntil the tag is removed or the site goes unchecked for 60 days
Reports (a value made from the IP address that changes every day)So the same person can't report many timesUntil that site is listed again or deleted
One-line feedback left on leaderboard sites (the text, when, which site) and a value that tells writers apart for a single day only (made irreversibly from the IP address and the date). The text is publicShowing it on the leaderboard and that site's results screen; limiting how many can be left a dayUntil that site comes off the leaderboard (hidden posts are deleted with it)
Reactions (counts of each kind per site), a value used to count the same reaction only once a day (made irreversibly from the IP address, date and site), feedback reports (the post number and a transformed IP address)Counting reactions; stopping duplicates and repeated reportsCounts and reports until the site comes down; the duplicate-check value, 2 days
One score a day for each leaderboard siteThe 'Most improved this week' sites90 days
Checkup records: the score, the scores and small checks for each item, the tool it was built with, figures measured on the phone (download size, number of requests, full load time, number of errors, what sharing did), the kinds of cautions. Addresses grouped only by their transformed value (hash)Making checkups better (below)2 years. Not kept if you turn off the consent under the address box
Specialist Care code, site, checkout session number, date, amountTo open Specialist Care and check whether it was refunded1 year after the code ends (tax records are kept separately by Link, the seller)
Refund requests (the code and when it was requested)To make the refundAlong with the code
Weekly checkup records: the site address, code, the day it was turned on, each week's re-check, answers about visits (whether they went up, the visits-a-day range)Showing the site's owner how things change, and learning which fixes really helpDeleted as soon as it's turned off. If left on, until Specialist Care ends (answers: 2 years)
In this device's browser: whether you turned off 'Use my checkup results' and your Specialist Care code (localStorage)To remember your choice, and to open Specialist Care right away next timeUntil you clear it in your browser
In this device's browser: for each site, the address, score and item scores from your last checkup, the reactions you tapped today, and when you answered about a score (localStorage, never sent to the server)'Sites checked on this device' on the front page, the 'score raised by fixes' card when a score goes up, showing the reactions you tappedUntil you clear it in your browser

There's no sign-up, so we don't take names, email addresses or phone numbers. We don't use cookies.

Only when you email us do we receive the sender's email address and the message. 1 in 200 Million is run together with 1 in 8 Billion (1in8b.life) by the same operator, so the two share contact addresses (contact@1in8b.life, privacy@1in8b.life). Emails pass through Cloudflare's email forwarding and are kept in the operator's Gmail (Google). They are used only to reply and to handle questions, payments, refunds and privacy requests. The operator reads and sorts emails with the AI assistant Claude (Anthropic), which drafts replies, but the operator checks each reply and sends it personally, and decisions are never left to AI. Emails are deleted 3 years after they've been handled. Usage records of the two services are never passed between them or combined.

Learning from checkup results

We collect these, with your consent, to learn what really helps a site spread.

We use what we collect to improve the scoring rules and the fixes. Outside, it is only published or written about as grouped statistics where no site can be recognized (for example, 'N% of sites that fixed their share button…'), and we never sell the records or pass them on. We don't hand them over to train AI models either. If a site's owner wants that site's records deleted, send us the address through Send feedback.

About the sites we check

The service reads only the public pages at the address you put in. If it finds something that looks like an email address or account number in the page code, it only counts them; it never shows or keeps what they say.

Privacy officer

Jin’s Earth · privacy@1in8b.life (the same address as 1 in 8 Billion). Details about the operator are in the terms of use.

Questions and deletion

Tell us at privacy@1in8b.life or through Send feedback, and we'll check and delete it. On the leaderboard, removing the verification tag takes your site down right away.
